Advanced Technology and Design

An Air Locker ARB solves the problem of transmitting "traction" to a wheel that's in the air or slipping. It replaces the center of the original differential, and when engaged, positively locks the front or rear differential, providing equal traction to opposite wheels. The ARB Air Locker Differential Lock offers many advantages over conventional electronic locks.

Electronic locks can only be engaged at speeds of up to 8-10 km/h. This means you have to slow down or even stop to engage them - and even then, activation takes time. With an electronic lock, you have to stop, activate and wait, which compromises your ability to get going again because the momentum has been lost.
